What's New in 2.0:
* New color scheme for all health and status bars.
* Added a new compass/clock display that has location, real and game time. Thanks to Mother9987 for permission to use parts of his excellent Compass/Clock mod ported from Jaxel's OCD EQ2 mod.
* Added a massive 12x12 hotbar! This hotbar has slightly smaller icons and can be resized in layout mode so that you can crop it to any size you need.
* A new attribute data window that shows your base value, current item buff, spell buff and total. Thanks to Cylus for the sample code provided for this window. Open it by clicking on any of the six attribute information bar text items.
* Golden mobs are now indicated by a golden lock icon in the upper right corner of the offensive target window.
* A new mob visibility indicator, an eye icon, is shown in the upper right corner of the offensive target window. This indicator is always there when you are visibile and target aggro mobs and when you are invisible the eye will go away unless the mob can "see invisible". So if you see the eye icon, they can see you too!
* Added a diplomacy container bar.
* Moved the dismiss button on the pet bar to the right end away for other buttons that are more frequently used.
* Expanded the healer hotbar to allow five spells per group member.
* Added an information bar option to show Adventure XP as x/2000.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON LAYOUT PROBLEMS !
If you have problems where your game refuses to remember the changes
you make to the UI layout, then try one of the following.
If you are running Windows Vista, find the vgclient.exe file in your
Vanguard/bin folder, right click on it and select "Run As Administrator".
This will ensure that the game has permission to change the files
that store the UI layout.
If you are running Windows XP, you may have the same problem with
permissions, but you'll need to fix it by making sure you log in with
an account that has administrator permissions or set the permission
appropriately for the Vangaurd folders. I won't go into further details
on the solution for Windows XP as the methods are too varied to get
specific and they don't always seem to work.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON PERFORMANCE !
All users of this or any mod which provides you multiple versions of
one or more windows, such as vertical or horizontal group and encounter
windows, will cause some degradation in FPS and possibly UI freezes. This
can be minimized! Read on...
The reason for the lag is that Vanguard was designed to keep all windows
constantly updated even when they are not visible. So each version of the
group, encounter, and buff/debuff lists are all constantly being updated.
This causes your computer to do a lot of needless work. On some computers
this isn't very noticeable, but for most it does cause problems when you
are in a large encounter with a group. While I could remove all but one
version these windows, that would be counter to the goal I set out to
achieve when I created this mod, that was to give users the flexibilty
to choose how they wanted their UI to look and work.
So, how do you overcome this problem?
In version 2.0 I split out nearly every important window into it's own
file. This will allow you to selectively load only the windows you end up
using. To control which files are loaded you need to edit the index.xml
file found in the DroxUI folder.
If you stick with the default layout that I provide, then this will be
fairly easy. If not, then you'll need to look through the list of
windows and figure out which ones your using and which not.
Below is an example of what you'll see in the index.xml file. You need to
cut and past any windows references that you are not using into the area
between the "BEGIN: WINDOWS THAT WILL NOT BE LOADED" and "END: WINDOWS
THAT WILL NOT BE LOADED". Theare comment markers for XML
files and by moving the windows into the afore mentioned section, you will
be commenting out the windows you don't want to load.
<Window filename="Drox_Compass.xml"/>
...
<Window filename="Drox_ReactionAbilitiesHorizontal.xml"/>
If you have any missing windows when you log in next, then you'll want to
re-edit this file and figure out which windows you need to move back to
their original location.
Notes about the DroxUI Key Mappings
The user.ini file is needed to enable all the additional key mappings
supported by the DroxUI mod. Listed are the key combos that differ from
the default UI.
F11 = Take Screenshot (was numpad minus)
F12 = Autorun (was numlock)
` = Cancel Ability (it used to be auto-attack)
- = Main hotbar
Ctrl-# = Horizontal Hotbar 2
Alt-# = Horizontal Hotbar 3
Shift-# = Horizontal Hotbar 4
Changing Hotbar Banks
The horizontal, vertical, G15, N52 and 3x4 hotbars all support 4 banks (or sets)
of abilities. The following key combos let you rotate through those 4 banks on
their respective hotbars.
Ctrl-F1 = Horizontal Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F2 = Horizontal Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F3 = Vertical Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F4 = Vertical Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F5 = G15 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F6 = G15 Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F7 = N52 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F8 = N52 Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F9 = 3x4 #1 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F10 = 3x4 #1 Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F11 = 3x4 #2 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F12 = 3x4 #2 Hotbar Down
Sample Layouts
If you copied the files in the layouts folder to your bin folder. There
will be four sample layouts attached to the UI Loader buttons found on
the first tab of the Drox UI Settings window.
Optional Logitech G15 Keyboard Setup
If you have a Logitech G15 keyboard, may may want to use the game profile
I've included for Vanguard. This profile sets up the G keys to match those
assigned to the optional G15 hotbar. To use the profile, you will need to open
your Keyboard Profiler and choose Profile->Import and select the
Vanguard.lgp file found in the DroxUI\G15 folder.
Optional Nostromo SpeedPad n52 Setup
- Many thanks to Kilatre for lots of help creating the N52 hotbar! ***
If you have a Nostromo SpeedPad n52, may may want to use the game profile
provided here by Kilatre. This profile sets up the Nostromo keys to match those
assigned to the optional N52 hotbar. To use the profile, you will need to import
the Vanguard.n52 file found in the DroxUI\N52 folder.
Is there an option not to use the book journals?
If you would rather use the default quest and abilities journals, I've included an
alternative index.xml file in the DroxUI\NoBookIndexFile folder. Simply copy
the index.xml from that folder into the DroxUI folder (overwriting the
existing one).

Iskevosi saidThis is the best version of DroxUI to date. The colours of the bars and the way everything is so configurable. There is so much information up on there screen without having to open windows, keeping you informed at all times.
The new Healer bar is a great addition. I must admit I dont use the Quest Log as it does not show the color of the Quest so you are not sure if it's too hard or not. But changing back to the old one is easy enough with clear instructions in the ReadMe.txt
